Like an old friend...

Do you ever put off a call to an old friend because you haven't talked in so long that the call will last forever an you are going to wait until you have time? I always do that - all you friends and family out there will know that well :)

It's been so long since we posted any photos or videos but even ridiculously longer since we gave you a proper update on how the 3 of us are doing. I've been putting it off because there is just so much to tell it will take forever. But here I am, I really don't have time to write everything that I could/should but I am sick of putting off writing a post! :)

So this is a super quick update 'cause something is better than nothing right?

Violet had an awesome first birthday - we had 35 people in our little house and it was a blast. Violet was thrilled to have everyone sing happy birthday to her and though we thought she really didn't have a sweet tooth, she DEVOURED her birthday cake! photos and video ot follow when Jon has the energy :)

One of the reasons its been so hard to get a post done is that I am now back to work full time and Jon is full time stay at home dad. It is really going well for all of us but our energy levels are pretty low with the new activity level in our house! Another reason is that we used to be able to use a computer while Violet played but she is so nosy these days that you can't use a computer in her presence unless you want her grabbing at the keyboard and turning it off on you.

In the sleep department we are doing SOOOO much better. Over Christmas and New Years we really worked at the sleep thing and finally V is sleeping through the night most nights. She has taken to waking up at 5am though which is difficult but we are trying not to complain, only a couple of months ago we might have been up 3-4 times a night.

OK - must be off to get some work done. Promise to try and do posts more often. Love to all.
