Fun with Jolly Jumpers!

Our house is filling up with things to entertain Violet. She gets bored pretty easily these days so we are constantly challenged to find new things to keep her happy and occupied. The jolly jumper is definitely a hit! She loves being able to look around from a standing position.

She rolled over again - this time Jon got to witness the magic :)

I took Violet to check out the new playground just down the street from our house and she had her first swing. She may not look impressed but before I put her in it she was bawling her head off!

We are loving the warm spring weather. It is great to get out in the sun with our girl!

A little bragging

Well parents are entitled aren't they?? Violet is just raring to go. She wants to sit up, crawl, stand, roll, whatever. She has been determined to roll from her back to her tummy for a few days now and yesterday she managed it for the first time. She is so advanced!! :) Jon left the room to go to the kitchen while she was playing on her back and when he returned she was on her belly. Of course she hasn't done it again for an audience but we are not-so-patiently waiting...

3 months today!

3 months today since Violet arrived. Time has gone so quickly and our girl is making amazing progress.

In the past couple of weeks she has really started becoming a little girl. Her personality traits (ie. stubborn) are really starting to show through and she is absorbing everything around her. She really tires herself out with all her nosiness.

She has befriended a pillow - the yellow one you see in the first picture- it is covered in ladybugs and Violet LOVES them! She laughs and smiles at the pillow whenever she sees it, it's good to keep her occupied for at least 5 minutes.

We attended our first mom and baby yoga class yesterday which was lots of fun. It is getting much easier to take Violet out to visit, shop etc.
That last few days have been a lot better with regards to sleep. Violet's sleeping more during the evening and at least 5 hours stretches at night, plus a bit more in the morning. It's amazing how your definition of a decent night sleep changes when you become a parent.
We went over to Lisa and Mark's for Easter dinner. (Lisa's the blondie in the picture.) Lisa's mom and stepdad were there, and we had leg of lamb. It turned into a great little party.

The weather has been phenomenal lately. We feel so blessed to live in this climate.
